SEARLE AWARD FOR CREATIVITY 2012
Today was the chaotic hanging for the big searle awards exhibition and private view this thursday in the Ruskin gallery at the Cambridge School of art. 13 People have been shortlisted this year and i was lucky enough to be one of those few.
Each year there is a differing theme and 2012’s theme is ‘migration’. My entry was a book a produced back in 2009 whilst in my 2nd year of my undergraduate degree and is a 20 page wordless narrative, based on a chinese folk tale of love, loss and determination. Winners announced on the 22nd, plus photos of the exhibition up sooon.
Sorry about all the re-blogs here but I love Melissa Castrillon’s work and I find it very inspiring for my comics.
